The connector reads the recipes and ingredient prices you approve. It cannot edit your account, delete data, or manage billing.

Setup

ChatGPT

  1. 1. Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors and Advanced settings.
  2. 2. Enable developer mode and choose Create app.
  3. 3. Enter https://dishcost.com/mcp as the MCP URL.
  4. 4. Sign in to DishCost, review the scopes, and allow access.

Claude

  1. 1. Open Settings and go to Connectors.
  2. 2. Choose Add custom connector.
  3. 3. Enter https://dishcost.com/mcp as the remote MCP URL.
  4. 4. Sign in to DishCost, review the scopes, and allow access.

Product labels may change. If you cannot find the setting, check the assistant provider's current connector documentation or email hello@dishcost.com.

Plans and purchases

Recipe, ingredient, price-history, and calculation tools work on Free and Pro accounts. Menu margin analysis requires Pro. If it is unavailable, the connector returns a neutral explanation and an informational pricing-page link. It never starts checkout, shows an ad, or changes your subscription.

Data and telemetry

DishCost sends only the result requested by the tool to the assistant. Connector analytics record the platform, tool name, status, and latency. They do not record prompts, tokens, raw payloads, restaurant names, recipes, ingredients, quantities, or prices. Read the privacy policy for details.

Disconnect

Remove DishCost from the connected assistant's connector or app settings. This stops future access. It does not delete your DishCost data or text already copied into an assistant conversation.

Delete data or get help

Email hello@dishcost.com from your account email to revoke tokens, delete your DishCost account and data, or report a security concern. Delete assistant conversations through that provider.
