These terms govern your use of DishCost. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you use DishCost for a business, you confirm that you may accept these terms for that business.
The service
DishCost provides recipe costing, ingredient price tracking, menu analysis, exports, and related tools. Calculations are estimates based on the information you provide. You remain responsible for purchasing, pricing, food safety, tax, accounting, and business decisions.
Accounts
Provide accurate account information and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@dishcost.com if you believe the account has been compromised.
Your data
You keep ownership of restaurant and account content you submit. You give DishCost permission to host, process, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service. You confirm that you have the right to submit it.
AI connections
If you connect an AI assistant, it may request DishCost data under the scopes you approve. The connector is read-only and does not manage subscriptions. The assistant's output may be wrong or incomplete, so check important calculations against DishCost and your source records. Your use of the assistant is also governed by that provider's terms.
Subscriptions
Paid plans renew for the interval shown at checkout until canceled. Prices and taxes are shown before purchase. Manage or cancel billing from DishCost settings. Cancellation stops renewal and paid access continues through the current paid period unless the checkout terms say otherwise. Marketplace connector tools never start checkout.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or another person's rights;
- probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass service security or limits;
- use automated access except through documented interfaces;
- upload malware or try to obtain another user's data; or
- resell or misrepresent DishCost without written permission.
DishCost materials
DishCost and its software, design, documentation, and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, revocable right to use the service, not ownership of those materials. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment.
Availability and warranties
The service is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free calculations.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, DishCost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid DishCost in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using DishCost at any time. We may suspend or end access for material violations, security risk, nonpayment, or legal requirements. We may update the service or these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable notice.
Governing law and contact
Delaware law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Contact hello@dishcost.com with questions.
